Terms of Use

Hermes Backup is a private, non-commercial backup setup for its operator. It is not offered as a service to the general public.

Authorized use

Only the operator, or a person they explicitly authorize, may connect a Google Drive account to this configuration. The tool is intended to store and restore encrypted backups that the operator controls.

Responsibilities

The operator is responsible for maintaining encryption recovery credentials separately, respecting Google Drive quotas and API terms, configuring retention, and testing recovery. Losing the Restic password may make encrypted backups unrecoverable.

Changes

The configuration and this informational website may be updated as backup practices change. Google Drive is a separate service subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
